Dried Flower Arrangments
Wedding flowers
This was my biggest project to date. What a responsibility, every bride likes to look her best on her wedding day and my daughter-in-law Hannah looked fantastic (along with Debbs and Sam the bridesmaids). The flowers had travelled wtih us to Rhodes for the big day. I was so protective over them on the packing, just praying they would travel well. They did, and whats more they travelled back just as well for the evening reception held back in the UK. If you ever wonder that silk/dried flowers are not in keeping with a wedding, think again. This way everyone gets to keep thier flowers from the big day as a nice reminder...... p.s plus they travel well if your wedding is not close to home.
Small but nice
I have never been a one to conform I like to do my own thing, that is just part of me. I have made dried flower arrangements for work and home. When I worked at Fareport Training I made them a rather large fire place arrangement, when in Autoliv it was small arrangements for the restaurant tables. Lots of my flowers have been for home as well. I find the best way to work is get all the flowers you take a fancy to and then put them together.
St Lukes Flowers
The flowers at St Lukes Church had become a little unloved. I offered to bring them home, give them a wash and re-arrange them once more in the lovely vases. You would never have know they had been pushed aside. Back in the Church they took thier place once more out on full view.
My wedding flowers
I wanted to do my own flowers for my (second) wedding. Once again they had to travel but only to Barnstable this time, no plane's for them. It was a simple posy of cream and white with the odd cone added for effect, with dark brown ribbon to finish it off. The three two white roses and the mini corsage were for groom and witnesses Pete and Av. I still have this posy which with a lillte tender loving care will last for years and years to come...
